In 1968 the teenager Charlie Bucktin knows the mulatto Jasper Jones, marginalized from the rest of his city. Jasper shows the corpse of the young Laura Wishart but Charlie realizes that he has nothing to do with this murder. Convinced that Jasper is innocent, he decides to find out who the real murderess and must deal with local prejudices, the separation between parents and love.
