In New York in 1954, Lionel Essrog, a solitary private detective afflicted by Tourette’s syndrome, tries to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend. Armed with a few clues and an obsessive mentality, Lionel slowly reveals secrets jealously guarded. The track will lead him to the Harlem jazz clubs, the Brooklyn slums and the thugs and powerful Gotham mediators to honor his friend and save a woman in distress.
