William Barton is an esteemed surgeon who ends up cheating on his wife and entering into an overwhelming and obsessive relationship with Anna Barton, his son’s girlfriend. While the man becomes more and more involved and loses clarity, the woman would like to keep both relationships standing. Meanwhile, the story with her boyfriend’s father takes on sadomasochistic overtones.
